CV Starr Scholarship 2022

Welcome to the CV Starr Scholarship Program!

In addition to the academic documents you will submit to the Scholarship Committee, a financial statement and brief summary of your award letter from each college to which you were admitted is required from each applicant.  CLICK HERE to access the online form.

Instructions:  Family Financial Statement & Financial Aid Award Letters

  1. The parent(s) in the household in which the applicant lives is/are considered the custodial parent(s) and are required to complete the Family Financial Statement.  In most cases, this will include the student and both natural parents.
  2. If the natural parents are divorced, separated or were never married, and one of the parents does not reside with the student, a Family Financial Statement is required from that parent.  So we should receive financial information from both biological parents if they are alive.
  3. If you have questions about who the custodial parent is, refer to the FAFSA GUIDELINES and proceed accordingly.
  4. Gather the financial aid awards from colleges to which you were accepted and who have responded with an official offer of financial aid.  An official offer of financial aid will typically include all or several of the following:  grants, scholarships, Federal Student Loans, College Work Study.  If you don’t have an award letter, please request one.
  5. If you do not have the award letter from the college you hope to attend, REQUEST IT FROM THE FINANCIAL AID OFFICE and have them send it to you ASAP.  Your CV Starr Application is incomplete until this is received.
  6. Proceed to the Award Letter Evaluation tab in the UPPER LEFT  of the online form.  If you don’t see the TABS, refresh your browser.
  7. Enter the award letter information for up to eight colleges.  Please enter your #1 choice in the first row.
  8. Submit the form when you have finished. You will be returned to a “Thank You” page on the Strategies For College website.
